Our branch of M S Ramco Systems Ltd is situated at 1 58 Pillaiyar Koil Street in the Vadivelkarai area of Nagamalai, Madurai. Being located near the temple makes the street very lively, especially during festival times when there are lots of people and music. The office itself is a simple setup where we handle various system-related tasks and support. Madurai can get incredibly hot, so we have the air conditioning running most of the time to keep the computers from overheating. It is a small team working here, and we mostly keep to ourselves and focus on the screens. The street outside is narrow, so we usually park our scooters right by the door. We have a few desks pushed together and a lot of cables running along the walls. It isn't the kind of place you see in a magazine, but it works for us. Sometimes the neighbors come by just to say hello or ask a quick question. We take our lunch breaks together and usually get some food from the local mess down the road. Working in Vadivelkarai feels very different from being in a big city tech park; it is much more grounded and feels like part of the local life. We just do our shifts, handle the technical issues that come up, and make sure everything is running smoothly before we head home to our families in the evening.
