Uthraa Export

Uthraa Export is situated on the second floor of a building in Sakthi Nagar. The address is 3/598, Surveyor Colony. Being on the second floor means we have to carry everything up the stairs, which is good exercise I suppose. The office is small but it has a window that looks out over the colony. We can see the kids playing in the street during the evenings. Most of our work involves coordinating shipments. We spend a lot of time on the phone. It’s not a very exciting job but it's what we know. We have a small table for packing smaller items and a big desk where we keep the ledger. We don't use those fancy software programs, just a pen and paper mostly. The building gets a bit hot in the afternoon because it catches the sun. We have a small fan that wobbles a bit. Sometimes the neighbors come up to borrow the stapler or just to chat for a minute. It’s a friendly enough place. We’ve been at this location for about two years. Before that, we worked out of a garage. This is much better even with the stairs. We don't have any big signs outside, just a small hand-painted one by the door. It’s a simple life and we just take each day as it comes. We try to get everything finished before the sun goes down so we can go home.
