Livya Exports is based out of Dr. Abdul Kalam Colony in Annai Nagar. We've been operating from No. 16 for a while now, and it has become our second home. It’s a decent area with good people living nearby. Our work is pretty straightforward—we deal with the export of goods. There’s a lot of sorting through different items and making sure they are packed up correctly for their long journey. We aren't a massive company with hundreds of employees or a human resources department. It's just a handful of us making sure things move along as they should. The colony is usually quiet, which makes it a lot easier for us to focus on the tasks at hand. We spend most of our time on the phone or checking the wooden crates in the back. It’s practical, sometimes dusty work. We don't spend our money on expensive signs or fancy office decorations. We'd rather just keep the operations running smoothly and pay our bills on time. Every day brings a different set of chores, depending on what we are shipping that week. Some weeks are totally hectic, and we're staying late just to finish the inventory. Other times, it's a bit slower and we have time to chat over tea. We just want to do a solid job and keep the business going for the long run. Being in Annai Nagar feels right. We know the roads and the local rhythms well. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to be reliable.
