Indu Designers

Indu Designers is located at 166/10-A, Gandhiji Street in Alagappan Nagar. It’s a quiet enough street most of the time, which is nice for getting work done. We do design work here, though it’s more about the practical side of things than anything fancy. The office is small but it serves us well. We’ve got desks pushed up against the walls and a lot of papers and sketches everywhere. Sometimes the tea man comes by and that’s usually the highlight of the afternoon. We don't have a big corporate structure or anything. It’s just a few of us trying to make things look right. We spend a lot of time talking about colors and shapes, but also about how much things cost and if they will actually hold up. Alagappan Nagar is a nice place to be based. We know the neighbors and the people at the local shops. It feels like a community. Our work is just about putting things together in a way that makes sense. We don’t have a big philosophy or a fancy mission statement. We just come in, sit at the drafting tables, and try to do a good job for the people who ask us for help. It’s a simple way to spend the day, and we like being on Gandhiji Street. It feels like home to us after all these years.
