This is the family business. N. Marimuthu Nadar started things and now we are at 203 East Masi Street. It's a busy part of town. We export things. People know the name around here. It's mostly about getting orders ready and making sure they go out on time. The shop is a bit small but we manage. We have stacks of stuff everywhere. You have to watch your step. My father taught me how to check the quality. If it's not right, we don't send it. It's a lot of physical work, packing and lifting. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know the routine. The traffic on East Masi Street is a nightmare sometimes, especially in the mornings. We try to load the trucks early before the crowd gets too big. Every day is different. Some days we are just waiting for the goods to arrive from the suppliers. Other days we are running around trying to meet a deadline. It's a simple life. We aren't trying to be the biggest, just want to keep the name going. People trust us because we've been here. We use a lot of tape and cardboard. The tea guy comes by at eleven and four. That's when we take a break. Otherwise, we are just working. We don't use computers for everything yet. Some things are still in the ledger books. There is a lot of history in these walls.
