Apollo 96 Bar

Apollo 96 Bar is situated inside Hotel Supreme at number 110 on West Perumal Maistry Street. We are right opposite the Madurai railway station, which means we see a lot of people coming and going at all hours of the day. The bar is a place where locals and travelers end up meeting each other. It is a bit dark inside, which people seem to like after being out in the bright sun all afternoon. We have been here for years, and the atmosphere hasn't changed much since we first opened. We serve drinks and some basic snacks to go along with them. The noise from the station can be heard sometimes when the big trains come in, but once you are inside, it mostly fades away into the background. Our staff knows how to pour a drink quickly because when the trains arrive, it gets crowded very fast. We don't have any fancy cocktails with little umbrellas or anything like that. It is just a straightforward bar for people to sit. Some of our regulars have been sitting in the same chairs for over a decade. We talk about the weather or the local news while we work. It is a simple business to run, really. We just make sure the bottles are stocked and the glasses are clean for the next person. Being so close to the station, we get to hear a lot of stories from people traveling across the country. It is an interesting spot to work in every day. We don't try to be anything fancy or high-end.
