Vishnu Granites

You can find us over at 11-19-46, Avenue Road, which is right in the Basinikonda area. It’s a pretty straightforward location once you get onto Avenue Road. We have been here at this address for a long time now, and the building has seen better days, but it serves its purpose. Working with granite is a tough business and it shows on our hands and the equipment we use every day. Basinikonda is a place where a lot of this kind of work happens, so we fit right in with the neighbors. We don't have any big signs or bright lights to get people's attention. Usually, people just come by because they’ve seen the trucks parked outside or they heard the noise of the machinery. My nephew helps out with the lifting and we have a small crew that knows how to handle the slabs. It’s a lot of manual labor, honestly. We don’t really use fancy words to describe what we do. We just take the stone, cut it to the sizes people ask for, and move it out. The yard at 11-19-46 is often crowded with pieces of granite waiting to be loaded up. It gets hot in the afternoons, but we just keep going until the sun starts to go down. It's a living, and we've been doing it this way for as long as I can remember.
