A R Granites

At A R Granites, we are located over at 45/8, Punganur Road. It’s right in the Vadanappally Industrial Area, so there are always heavy trucks coming and going at all hours. The noise of the machinery is something you just learn to live with after a few days of working in this business. We deal with granite slabs every day, moving them from the stacks to the cutting area and back again. It’s heavy, tiring work, but it keeps us busy and pays the bills. The dust gets everywhere, even inside the small office area where we keep the folders and paperwork. We don’t have any fancy displays or showroom lights. Usually, the slabs are just leaning against the walls in the yard. Sometimes a piece breaks during transport, and that’s just part of the business, even if it is a bit frustrating and wasteful. We’ve been at this spot for a while now. The locals know where to find us on Punganur Road. We don’t spend much time on the computer or making things look pretty for photos. Most of our time is spent checking the quality of the stone or talking to drivers about their delivery schedules. It’s a practical kind of life for us. We wake up, head to the industrial area, and work until the sun goes down. It’s simple and honest work. We just take care of the granite and try to stay out of the rain when it comes.
