Dev Glass House

I've been working at the glass house on Tibba Road for a good while now. It sits right near Mayapuri Chowk, which stays pretty crowded most of the day. If you’re coming from Kudlu Gate, we aren't hard to find. The shop is filled with all sorts of glass sheets and mirrors leaning against the walls. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze sometimes when a big delivery comes in. We spend a lot of time just measuring twice and cutting once because glass isn't very forgiving if you make a mistake. There's always that scratching sound of the cutter and then the snap when the piece comes away. It’s a bit messy with the little shards and the dust, but we try to sweep up as we go. The shop isn't anything special to look at, just a place where we do our work. People drop by for all kinds of things, like a broken window that needs fixing or a mirror for their bathroom. The traffic outside is constant, and you can always hear the horns and the bikes zooming past Mayapuri Chowk. It’s just the two of us usually, handling the heavy lifting and making sure the glass gets loaded onto the trucks without cracking. It's a lot of manual labor and our clothes usually end up pretty dusty by the end of the shift, but it’s honest work.
