Shamphy Jewellers

Shamphy Jewellers sits in the heart of the market area near Choda Bazar and Sarafa Bazar on Chaura Bazar road. It is a very old part of town where the streets are narrow and always packed with people looking for something. Our shop is not very large, but we make the most of the space we have. We have got the usual glass cases that we spend way too much time cleaning because of all the fingerprints left by visitors. The air inside is a mix of the street smells like incense, food from the stalls, and the general scent of a crowded market. We have been at this for a while, so we know most of the other shopkeepers around here. Mornings are spent taking things out of the safe and arranging them just right, and evenings are the opposite, putting everything back piece by piece. There is a small bench out front where older folks sometimes sit to rest for a minute. We do not have a lot of high-tech gadgets, just a reliable scale and some basic tools for checking gold or fixing a clasp. The ceiling fan wobbles a bit when it is on high, but it keeps the air moving during the heat. It can get pretty loud with all the shouting from the vendors outside, but we like the energy of the bazaar. It is just a normal, hardworking shop where we do our best to stay on top of the daily chores.
