S P Hardware Centre

We run S P Hardware Centre over in Lakkar Bazar, which is in the Bagh Khazanchian area. The bazaar is a very old and crowded place, full of narrow lanes and hundreds of small shops. Our store is packed from floor to ceiling with all kinds of hardware, from tiny screws and hinges to larger tools and buckets. It always has that distinct smell of metal and wood. We have been here for a long time, and the shop has an old-fashioned feel. We don't use any computers for our sales; everything is written down in big ledgers by hand. Sometimes it takes a while to find a specific item because the shelves are so full, but we usually know exactly where everything is hidden. The floor is made of old stone and is quite worn down from years of customers coming in. In the winter months, it gets very cold because the shop is open to the street, so we just wear our heavy jackets and keep working. The market is always loud with the sounds of people bargaining and carts moving goods around. We have a small corner where we keep our drinking water and a small stove for making tea. It is a very traditional way of doing business, and we are quite content being part of the daily life here in Lakkar Bazar.
