R.D.H.Auto (Regd.)

If you come down to Dhandari Kalan, you’ll find us right across from the railway station. It’s on Singla Cycle Road, which is almost always crowded with trucks and cyclists. R.D.H.Auto (Regd.) has been in this spot for quite some time. The trains go by all day and you can hear the whistles and the tracks rattling while we work. It’s a bit dusty because of all the traffic outside, but that’s just how it is in this part of town. We spend most of our time out on the floor or dealing with people who drop by. There’s always someone coming in to ask about a part or just to chat for a minute. We don't have a big reception area or fancy furniture. Just some chairs and a desk covered in papers and catalogs. The tea stall nearby is where we usually get our fix in the afternoon. Dealing with the heat in the summer is probably the hardest part, but we have some fans going. Sometimes the power cuts out and we just have to wait it out or find something else to do that doesn't need lights. It’s a straightforward setup. We know the neighbors and they know us. You don't need a map to find us if you just look for the station. We’ve been here long enough that we’re part of the landscape now. It’s honest work and we stay busy from morning until the sun goes down.
