Radha Mohan Spices

Our place is on Bhadur Ke Raod, right near the Dana Mandi. If you know that area, you know it’s where all the grain and produce comes in. It’s a very industrial part of town. Radha Mohan Spices is at Plot No. 79. It is a big, open space because we need the room for all the sacks of spices. The trucks come in early and leave a lot of mud or dust depending on the season. It isn't a pretty place. It is just a workspace. We have a few machines for the grinding and a big scale that we use all day long. The air inside is always a bit thick with the smell of cumin and red chili. Sometimes the workers from Dana Mandi stop by to chat. It’s a rough and tumble kind of neighborhood. We don't do anything special for visitors. If you come by, you’ll just see us working in our undershirts when it’s hot. We aren't trying to impress anyone. We just want to make sure the spices are ground properly and sent out to the shops. The road outside is usually blocked by some tractor or truck, so getting things in and out can be a headache. But that is just how business is on Bhadur Ke Raod. It's a lot of manual labor and long hours. We’ve been here for years and we know the routine. It’s hard work, but we are okay with it.
