Mehta Engineers Ltd. is located in Village Kanganwal, near P.O. Juiana. It’s a bit different from the big city industrial parks. Here, you might see a tractor passing by the front gate as often as a truck. The road to the village can be a bit bumpy, especially after the monsoon rains. Our building is a solid structure that has been here for quite a while. Inside, it’s mostly open space for the machines and the work areas. We have a small group of people from the nearby villages working with us. It’s a quiet place in the mornings until we turn the power on and start the day’s work. We don't have a big reception desk or a lobby. If someone comes by, they usually just walk into the main office area and ask for whoever they need. We spend our time working on various engineering projects, mostly metalwork and parts. There’s a lot of manual work involved, and the guys are used to the heavy lifting. In the winter, it gets quite cold in the shed, so we all wear thick sweaters and keep moving to stay warm. We don't use a lot of fancy words for what we do. We just take the orders, look at the specs, and try to get the metal cut and shaped correctly. It’s honest work, and we’ve been doing it at this same spot in Kanganwal for years.
