Jain Building Material Store

Down here on Futta Lahara Road, we’ve got Shop No.14 and 15 where we keep all the building stuff. It’s called Jain Building Material Store, and it is quite close to the Shri Krishna Mandir. You can usually hear the temple bells from here when things get quiet in the evening. This place stays busy because there is always someone building something nearby or fixing up their old house. We deal with a lot of heavy things like cement bags and pipes, so there’s usually a bit of dust around the entrance. It is a lot of physical work, lifting and moving things all day long. My brother and I manage the stock ourselves. We don’t have a website or anything like that, just our ledger books and the phone that rings constantly. Sometimes the truck deliveries come late and we have to stay open an hour or two past our usual time to get everything unloaded. It’s just part of the job. People know where to find us because we’ve been at this spot for years. The road out front can get a bit muddy when it rains, making it hard for the tractors to pull in, but we manage somehow. We aren't trying to be the biggest store in town, we just want to have what the local guys need for their construction work. It is simple business for people who work with their hands.
