At J S Cement Corp., we've been operating out of 495-L in Model Town for quite a few years. We are located right near the Old Krishna Mandir, which is a landmark everyone around here knows. Model Town is usually a bit quieter than the main markets, which makes it easier for our trucks to come and go without getting stuck for hours. We deal in cement and related materials for construction. It’s a dusty business, and our clothes usually show it by the end of the day. We aren't a big corporation despite the name; it’s mostly just a few of us handling the orders and the heavy lifting. We have a small office area where we sit with customers and talk about their building plans. People stop by on their way to the temple sometimes just to check prices or ask for advice. We don't have any fancy brochures or sales pitches. If you need cement, we have it, and we tell you the price straight up. We’ve seen a lot of houses go up in this neighborhood using the stuff we sell. It feels good to see the area growing. We keep our overhead low so we can stay in business. It’s a simple, local operation. If you need a load delivered, we try to get it there the same day if the driver is available and the weather is good.
