Heritage Furniture Company

We’re out here at F2, Phase Vii in the Focal Point area, running Heritage Furniture Company. It’s a large industrial part of town, so there’s always a lot of noise and trucks moving through the gates. Our workshop is where we spend the bulk of our time. It’s not a showroom where everything is polished to a shine. It’s a place where we actually build things. You’ll see scraps of wood and half-finished chairs or tables sitting around. We’ve been here at Focal Point for years, and we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. But we just keep doing our thing. The guys in the back have been with us for a long time, and they know the routines. We don’t have a fancy website or a PR team. We just have our tools and the orders that come in. If a customer comes by, they usually just walk straight into the shop. We talk about what they need and then we get to it. It’s straightforward. We don’t like to overcomplicate things with big promises we can't keep. We just make the furniture and hope it lasts a long time for whoever buys it. The floors are concrete and the lighting is just okay, but it works for us. It’s a real place where real stuff gets made every day, which is enough for us to keep coming back every morning and doing it again.
