G. S. Engineering Works

G. S. Engineering Works is located right at the Jalandhar Bye-Pass Chowk. It’s a very easy place to spot because of all the traffic that goes through that intersection. Being at the chowk means we see a lot of people passing by every single day. Our shop is where we do all kinds of engineering repairs and small fabrication jobs. It’s a bit of a noisy location with the trucks and cars zooming past, but we’ve gotten used to the sound. Inside the shop, it’s mostly just tools, welding equipment, and pieces of metal waiting to be worked on. We don’t have a lot of extra space, so we have to use what we have quite carefully. The floor is concrete and usually has some scuff marks from moving heavy parts around. We’ve been here at the bye-pass for quite some time now. Locals know us as the place to go when something mechanical needs a bit of attention. It’s not a polished environment; it’s a working garage style setup. We usually have a pot of tea going somewhere in the back. The work can be tiring and our hands are rarely clean, but it’s what we know how to do. We open up when the sun comes up and usually stay until the last job of the day is done. It’s just a straightforward engineering workshop in a busy part of Jalandhar where things get fixed.
