Dass Exports

Down on Guru Nanak Street No. 4, over in Simla Puri off Gill Road, that’s where you’ll find Dass Exports. We have been operating out of this neighborhood for quite a long time. It’s a busy area, lots of small workshops and people hauling stuff back and forth. Our building isn't anything special to look at, just a practical place where we pack things up and get them ready to go out. The Gill Road traffic can be a real headache sometimes, especially when the big trucks are trying to turn into the narrow streets. We spend most of our time double-checking lists and making sure the boxes are taped up right. We do a lot of exporting, so there is always paperwork on the desk and labels everywhere. It can get a bit messy during the peak weeks, but we know where everything is. The guys in the back have a rhythm going. We aren't into fancy presentations or big meetings. Usually, we just talk over a quick cup of chai and get back to the floor. It is honest work, and we like the people we deal with. Most of our neighbors are doing the same thing, just trying to run a decent business and get through the day. We’ve seen the street change a bit over the years, but our routine stays the same. Just packing, checking, and shipping from Simla Puri. It’s a simple life and it keeps us busy enough throughout the week.
