D. P. Cement Depot

We are set up at Plot No. 5623 on Chandigarh Road. If you see the Gopi Chand Petrol Pump, we are right across from it. It’s a busy road with lots of trucks and cars passing by all the time. D. P. Cement Depot is basically a storage yard for cement. We spend our days unloading trucks and stacking bags. It’s hard work on the back, but someone has to do it. The dust gets everywhere, especially when the wind picks up on Chandigarh Road. We don’t have any fancy signs or a big lobby. It’s just a gate and a lot of cement. Usually, it’s just a few of us here making sure the orders are correct. People stop in because they saw us while getting fuel across the street. We keep the inventory as tidy as we can, but a cement depot is never perfectly clean. That’s just the nature of the business. We’ve been at this plot for a while now. The petrol pump is the best way to explain where we are. We just open up in the morning and wait for the deliveries. It’s a basic operation. No big meetings, just moving bags and talking to drivers. If you need cement, we’re the place on the side of the road with the stacks.
