Sheena Kapoor started this in Model Town because it is a central part of Ludhiana. If you live around here, you know how busy the streets can get, especially on weekends. Chelton is just a small venture that grew out of a love for making things look nice. It is not a corporate chain or anything like that. It is more personal. We spend our time looking at materials and figuring out how they fit together. The office in Model Town is where all the ideas happen. We do not use a lot of big words to describe what we do. It is basically just about picking the right things for a space and making sure they get put in the right spot. Sometimes it is stressful when things do not arrive on time, but that is just how it goes in this business. We have a small team here. Everyone does a bit of everything. One day we might be sketching and the next day we are checking on a delivery. We have stayed in this neighborhood because we like being part of the local community. People know Sheena and they know the work she does. It is not about being the biggest name in town, just about doing something we are proud of. There is a lot of competition in Ludhiana, but we just do our own thing and hope people like it. It is a simple life but a busy one that keeps us on our toes.
