Aarti Embellishments

Our place is Shop No-146, right near Atam Public School in Atam Nagar. If you know this part of Ludhiana, you know it gets pretty crowded when the kids are finishing school for the day. Aarti Embellishments has been in this spot for a bit now. It’s mostly a working space for us. We spend most of our time dealing with all the little details that go into clothes and fabrics. There’s usually thread and small bits of material all over the tables because we’re always in the middle of some project. It’s not the quietest spot since the school is so close, but we’ve gotten used to the noise over the years. We don't really do any big advertisements or anything like that. People usually find us because they live nearby or they’ve heard about us from someone else in the neighborhood. The shop isn't very large, so we have to be careful about where we stack the boxes. Sometimes the delivery trucks have a hard time finding a place to park on the street, which can be a bit of a headache during the busy hours. We just focus on getting the work done day by day. It involves a lot of sitting and focusing on very small things. My hands are usually pretty tired by the time we close up. We’ve been here long enough that the local tea seller knows exactly when to come by.
