Arvindra Knit

Arvindra Knit is situated on Street Number 1 in Jain Nagar, right off Shiv Puri Road. If you walk down the street, you can usually hear our machines running before you see the door. We do a lot of knitting work here. The space is filled with yarn of all different colors and big machines that take up most of the floor. It’s a bit cramped, especially when we have a lot of orders to finish. We don't have a fancy showroom. Most of our visitors are just people we do business with regularly. The walls are a bit stained from years of work, and it’s always a bit noisy, but we like it that way. It feels like a real workshop. We started out with just two machines and slowly added more as we could afford them. It’s just us and a few local workers who know the machines inside out. Sometimes things break down and we have to spend the whole morning fixing a motor. Shiv Puri Road is always busy with cycles and carts, so there’s a lot of energy around us. We don't do much advertising. People usually find us through word of mouth or because they’ve seen our work. It’s a practical business. We focus on making things that people actually use. It’s a lot of long hours and repetitive work, but seeing a finished pile of sweaters or cloth makes it feel worthwhile.
