If you walk down Overlock Road and get into the thick of Krishna Market, you’ll find us at Shop No 59. Aggarwal Scales & Co. has been in Miller Ganj for a long time, and the shop is exactly what you’d expect from an old-school place. We have scales of all sizes sitting on the floor and tucked into every corner. Some are for heavy industrial use and others are small enough for a kitchen. It gets pretty crowded in here, especially when a few customers show up at once. The noise from the street is constant—horns, people shouting, and the sound of carts being pushed over the uneven road. We spend a lot of time calibrating things and making sure the needles or digital readouts are showing what they’re supposed to. It’s a lot of sitting on stools and working with small tools. My hands are usually a bit greasy from the mechanical parts. We don't have a fancy website or a big marketing plan. Most people find us because they’ve been coming here for years or their father used to shop here. It’s a simple business, really. We just fix what’s broken and sell things that are built to last. The tea stalls nearby keep us going throughout the day with a hot cup every few hours. It’s just a normal shop in a busy market, trying to do things right for the people who need us.
