Aarti Tent & Light Service

Aarti Tent & Light Service is based over near the old Kailash Theatre Chowk in Civil Line at B 1216. Our warehouse is basically stuffed to the ceiling with folded up tents, iron poles, and miles of tangled decorative lights. It is always a bit of a mess in there because we are constantly loading things onto the trucks or bringing them back from a function. The work is mostly heavy lifting and climbing up on tall ladders to hang fabric and wires. We get a lot of grease on our hands from the metal frames and the dust from the sites we go to. During the wedding season we hardly ever sleep because there is always another setup to finish before morning. The lights are the hardest part because a single bulb going out can ruin a whole string and we have to find it manually. It is not an easy job and your back usually hurts by the end of the week. We have a lot of different colored cloths and decorations that have been through many events over the years. Some of them have small stains or tears but we try to hide those when we set them up. It is a local business and most of our work comes from people who see us working at their neighbor's house. We just show up with the gear and try to get the place looking decent.
