Lucknow is a big city, but this corner feels like our own little space. We deal with agrotech, so there’s always something going on with agricultural equipment or supplies. It’s a busy intersection, so there’s always noise from the street, but you get used to it after the first week. Our office is pretty lived-in. We have papers everywhere and there is always a pot of tea being made somewhere in the back. We aren't the type to wear suits to work. We’re usually in whatever is comfortable for moving boxes or talking to farmers who come by. It’s a practical business. We don't have any fancy mission statements or anything like that. We just try to provide what people need and keep the books balanced. Some days the heat in Lucknow is almost too much, but we keep the fans going and stay on top of our tasks. It’s a straightforward life. We know our customers by name and they know where to find us near the bank. That’s just how we like to run things here at Yesmaa. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing every single day.
