Yadav Tea Stall

I started Yadav Tea Stall at Shop No 12 in Nishatganj quite a few years ago. You can find us right in the 1st Lane here in Lucknow. It is a small setup, mostly just the stove, some benches, and the glass jars filled with biscuits. Every morning starts with lighting the burner and getting the milk delivered. I spend most of my day boiling tea with ginger and cardamom because that is what people like the most. We have many regulars who come by before work or during their lunch breaks to sit and talk. The 1st Lane gets quite lively with all the chatter. It is not a quiet place, but that is how a tea stall should be, I think. Sometimes the rain makes it a bit messy around the shop, but people still come for a hot cup. I also keep some basic snacks and cigarettes for those who want them. My hands are usually busy washing glasses or pouring tea into those small clay cups or glass tumblers. It is hard work standing on my feet all day, but I enjoy the company of the people who visit. Lucknow people love their tea, so there is never a dull moment. I try to keep the sugar and milk levels just right. It is a simple business, nothing complicated about it. We just provide a spot for people to rest for a few minutes before they move on with their day.
