We Handicrafts is our little place in Vikas Nagar. We are at No. 7/910, quite close to the Sai Mandir. You can hear the temple bells from our workshop. We make a lot of things by hand using wood and clay. It’s a bit messy work. There is always dust or shavings on the floor. We have a few local craftsmen who come in daily. They are very skilled even if they don't say much. We don't have a big factory. It’s just a house that we converted into a workspace. People find us because of the word of mouth in the neighborhood. We make items that people use in their homes or give as gifts. Sometimes we take special orders if it’s something we know how to do. We don't use fancy tools, mostly just hand saws and chisels. It takes time to finish things this way. We don't like to rush. The tea stall nearby brings us chai twice a day. That's our favorite part of the afternoon. We aren't looking to become a giant company. We just like making things that look nice. Vikas Nagar is a friendly place to be. If you walk past the temple, you’ll see our sign. It’s a bit faded but it’s there. We hope to keep doing this for a long time to come.
