Vijay General Store

Our shop, Vijay General Store, is over in Aliganj on the IHM Road. The address is L6/37 and we are quite close to the Cooperative Bank. Lucknow is a city that loves its small shops and we are happy to be one of them. We handle the 226024 area and have many regular customers from the nearby houses who come in every week. It is a general store, so we have a mix of everything from soaps to school notebooks. Since we are near the bank, a lot of people stop in after doing their banking work to pick up things for their homes. The road can get a bit noisy with all the traffic heading towards the institutes, but inside it’s just the usual shop sounds. We aren't experts in marketing or anything like that. We just know what our customers usually ask for and we try to keep it ready on the shelf. The shop isn't very large, so we have to be clever with how we stack the boxes to fit everything in. Sometimes it feels like a bit of a puzzle. My father started this and now I'm the one sitting here most days. We don't have fancy uniforms or big glowing signs. Just a simple board with the name on it. It’s a quiet life mostly, helping people find what they need. We appreciate everyone who chooses to buy from us instead of going to the big malls.
