V P Srivastava

I’ve been teaching here in Lucknow for a long time now under my own name, V P Srivastava. My setup is located in the 226001 area, which is right in the heart of the city. I don't have a big fancy school or a large staff. It’s mostly just me working with the students who come to see me. I’ve always preferred it this way because I can keep a direct eye on how everyone is progressing. The space I use is simple and functional. There are enough chairs and a solid table for us to sit around. I don't use any fancy technology, just the traditional pen and paper or a chalkboard when needed. Students come at different times depending on their school schedules. Some arrive early in the morning, while others come by late in the evening. The neighborhood is typical for central Lucknow, with its narrow lanes and constant activity. I’ve seen many changes in the city over the years, but the way I teach hasn't changed much. I think hard work and regular practice are the only way forward. There are no shortcuts here. People usually find out about me through word of mouth from other parents. I don't do any advertising. I just focus on the lessons and hope the students put in the effort. It’s a quiet life, spent mostly surrounded by books and notebooks. I enjoy the process of explaining a difficult concept.
