Our office is in the A.F. Tower over on 5 Park Road in the Hazratganj area. If you know Lucknow, you know how busy Hazratganj gets with all the shops and people walking around. Being in the tower means we are a bit away from the street noise, which is good when you are trying to look at numbers all day. Avinash Financial Services is basically just a few desks, some filing cabinets, and a lot of paper. We spend most of our time dealing with forms and talking to people about their money or their taxes. It’s not the most exciting work but it’s what we do. The elevator in the building sometimes has a mind of its own so a lot of people just take the stairs if they aren't going up too high. We have some chairs for people to sit while they wait their turn. We drink a lot of tea while going through documents. The view from the window isn't much, just other buildings and the tops of trees along Park Road. Most people who come to see us are locals from the city or business owners from nearby blocks. It’s a professional enough spot but we keep it simple without any of those modern fancy decorations you see in the new malls. We’ve been here for a bit and we know the rhythms of the building, like when the lunch crowd heads out for their break. It's just us doing the paperwork and getting through the daily tasks.
