Ujala General Store

Ujala General Store is situated at C-22 in the Janpath Market of Hazratganj, Lucknow. If you know Lucknow, you know that Hazratganj is the most famous part of the city. We are right in the middle of it, near Darul Safa. Being in Janpath Market means we see thousands of people every week. Our shop is small compared to some of the big showrooms nearby, but we carry the things people actually need every day. We sell stationery, toiletries, snacks, and various other household goods. It can get very loud and hectic outside our door with all the shoppers and vehicles. Inside, we try to keep things a bit more orderly, though it is hard when space is so limited. We have been at this location for a long time. Many people who work in the government offices nearby stop by for a quick snack or a pen. We don't spend money on advertising or fancy decorations. We just rely on our location and the fact that we have been here long enough for people to trust us. The market has a lot of history, and we feel like a small part of that history. It is a lot of work to keep a shop running in such a busy area, but we like being where the action is. Every day brings something different in Hazratganj.
