We are over in Gandi Wali Gali, right off Hewett Road. People usually find us because we're so close to Hussain Ganj. It’s been our spot for a long time. Mostly we just deal with tea leaves all day. The shop isn't huge but we keep it busy. Every morning starts the same way with the shutters going up and the smell of the dry tea hitting you. We have stacks of bags everywhere. It gets a bit crowded when the delivery trucks come down the narrow lane. You have to watch your step. Sometimes the dust from the road gets in, but that’s just how it is around here. We don't do anything fancy. Just weighing out tea and making sure the packets are sealed right. Our neighbors know us by name now. It’s loud out on the main road, but inside the lane, it’s a bit different. We spend a lot of time just chatting with the regulars who pop in to see what’s new. Sometimes the tea arrives late because of the traffic, but we manage. It’s a simple life here in the gali. We don’t have a big office or anything like that. Just the counter, the scales, and a lot of tea. If you’re walking near Hussain Ganj, you’ve probably passed us. We just keep doing what we do, day in and day out, without much fuss. It works for us and the people who buy from us.
