Shyam General Store

Shyam General Store is a small business we have on Dargah Road in the Chaupatiyan area of Lucknow. We are very close to the Dargah, so there is always a lot of movement on the street outside. Our shop is where people come for their daily bits and pieces, whether it is some soap, a packet of biscuits, or some basic household items. Being in Lucknow - 226003, we see a lot of local faces every day. I’ve been running this place for a while and it’s become a second home to me. The shop is a bit small and the shelves are quite high, so I often have to use a ladder to reach things at the top. It is a bit of a squeeze when we get a big delivery, but we manage to fit everything in eventually. People in Chaupatiyan are generally friendly and they like to stop and talk for a bit while they are buying their things. We don't have any corporate rules or anything like that. We just open up and do our best to have what people are looking for. Sometimes we might not have a specific brand, but we usually have something similar that works just as well. It’s a simple, local store for the people who live around Dargah Road. We just keep things moving and try to be helpful to anyone who walks through the door.
