Shatakshi Micro Credit Foundation

The Shatakshi Micro Credit Foundation is located in Sector K-1 of the Aashiyana Colony, specifically at H.No 1419. Being in Lucknow, we are part of a very vibrant city, but our corner of the colony is actually quite peaceful. The office is set up in a way that feels very accessible. We have a main room where most of the work happens and a smaller back room for storage and our tiny break area. Since we deal with micro credit, we often have people coming in to talk about small loans and their personal projects. We try to keep the atmosphere friendly and low-key. There isn't any fancy marble or expensive furniture here. We use basic metal desks and plastic chairs that are easy to move around. The walls have a few maps and some schedules pinned up so we don't forget important dates. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, but we just open the windows and keep going. Working in a foundation means there is always something to do, whether it’s checking applications or just talking to the local residents. We’ve been at this Aashiyana Colony address for a while and it feels like home to us now. The neighbors are nice, and there’s a small shop nearby where we get our daily snacks. It’s a very simple, honest environment where we focus on the task at hand without any extra fluff or complications.
