Shardha Departmental & General Store

Shardha Departmental & General Store is situated in the Maa Vaisno Complex on Rahim Nagar Road in Lucknow. We are not too far from the P.A.C Gate-3, which helps people find us. The shop is a mix of a general store and a departmental setup, so we have a bit more variety than a tiny corner shop might. We have rows of different food items, household goods, and personal care products. Lucknow can get very humid, and the shop feels a bit stuffy when it's crowded, but we have a couple of fans going to keep the air moving. We spend a lot of time unpacking boxes and trying to find space for new items that the suppliers bring. It’s a constant battle against the clutter. The customers are mostly locals from Rahim Nagar who walk over. We’ve got a routine down where we know when the busy times are, usually early morning and late evening. During the day, it’s mostly just me or another staff member sitting by the counter, waiting for the bell to ring. We don't use any high-tech systems; we just keep an eye on what's selling and what's sitting on the shelf for too long. It’s a basic way to run things, but it works for us and the people who live around the complex. We just keep going, day after day, trying to stay organized in our own way for the neighborhood.
