Sagar General Store

We are located in the Manas Vihar area, near Munshi Pulia in Lucknow. Sagar General Store is a pretty straightforward place. We sell the things people need for their homes on a daily basis. Whether it’s some spices for dinner or a new bottle of shampoo, we usually have it on the shelf. Lucknow is a city that takes its time, and we try to do the same. We know most of the people who walk through our door because they live just around the corner. It’s a small shop, and sometimes the aisles get a bit blocked with new crates of soda or bags of grain. The light in the back of the store flickers a little, but we haven't gotten around to fixing it yet. We don't have any grand missions or corporate values. We just want to be here when someone runs out of salt or needs a pack of biscuits for their guests. The traffic at Munshi Pulia can be a nightmare during rush hour, so we often see people stopping in just to escape the noise for a minute. We’ve been here for several years now and the walls are covered with old calendars and notes. It’s not a polished place, but it’s home to us. We just keep doing what we do, day in and day out. It’s a simple life running a general store in this part of Lucknow, and we like it.
