Rosco Dance Academy

Rosco Dance Academy is over in Janakipuram Vistar, specifically at B-2/144 in Sector-F. We are right on the Sahara State Road, not too far from Icon Hospital. The space is mostly one big open room with some mirrors on the wall so the students can see what they are doing. We have classes for kids after they finish school and some for adults in the evening who want to move around a bit. The floor is hard and you can hear the thumping of feet when a big group is practicing. Sometimes the sound system acts up a little, but we usually get the music going eventually. It isn't a high-end studio with shiny chrome, it’s just a place where people come to learn steps. We teach a few different styles depending on who is teaching that day. Parents usually sit on the plastic chairs near the door waiting for their children to finish up. In the summer, the fans are always on high because it gets quite warm when everyone is moving. We started this because we liked dancing and wanted a spot in this part of Lucknow for it. It is a basic neighborhood school. People come here to learn, sweat a bit, and go home. We don't make a big deal out of things, we just put on the music and start the lesson. The hallway is a bit narrow so it gets crowded during class changes. That is just how the building is.
