You have to come up to the 3rd floor of the Premier Building to find us. We are at 9 Shahnajaf Road, right in the Hazratganj area. Being on the third floor means it’s a bit quieter than the street below, which is nice for us. Hazratganj is always so busy with traffic and people shopping for things. We spend a lot of time looking out the window at the crowds while we work on the orders. The elevator in this building is a bit old and grumpy, so some people just take the stairs to reach us. Our space is filled with racks of clothes and piles of plastic bags for packing and shipping. We don't have a fancy entrance or a receptionist waiting. Usually, you’ll just find me or one of the boys sorting through the new arrivals that come in. We get deliveries from the manufacturers and have to check every single piece before we put it away. It’s tedious work, but it has to be done carefully. We’ve been in this building for quite a while now and know all the other tenants on this floor. We often share snacks or help each other out with small things. It’s like a little community up here. Sometimes the heat in the afternoon makes us sluggish, so we send someone down for cold drinks. It’s not a glamorous life, but we enjoy being part of the bustle of Lucknow. We just take things one day at a time.
