Pappu General Store

Our shop is tucked away in Daliganj, specifically at Shop No 6 on Sitapur Road. We are right by the Daliganj Crossing, which is always a noisy and active place to be. Being in Lucknow, you get used to the crowds and the constant movement of people going to work or heading home. We sell mostly general items that every household needs. It is nothing too complicated. We open up early and stay late most days because that is when people need stuff the most. You might see some dust on the high shelves, but we try our best to keep things tidy. We know many of our customers by name since they live just around the corner or pass by the crossing every single day. If you are looking for something specific, we usually have it buried somewhere on the shelves. Sometimes we lose track of time talking to the regulars about the weather or the traffic outside. It is a bit cramped inside with all the bags and containers, but we manage. We don't have a big team, just a few of us making sure things run okay. Living and working in Daliganj means there is never a quiet moment, but we wouldn't have it any other way. It is just a honest day's work for us here at the store, keeping the shelves full and the door open for whoever stops by.
