We are located at Arjunganj Raghuvansham on Sultanpur Road. It’s a busy area and the traffic on Sultanpur Road can be quite something, especially on the weekends. Our building is easy enough to spot once you get into the right lane. Inside, we have a lot of racks and some sewing stations set up. There is usually a bit of a hum from the machines going all day long. It’s not a quiet place, but it feels like things are happening. We have heaps of fabric rolls in the corners, some silk, some cotton, and all sorts of colors that we haven't even used yet. The floor is mostly concrete and it stays cool, which we appreciate when it’s hot outside. A few of us sit near the windows where there is a bit of a breeze. We don’t really do much in the way of decorating the walls because they just get covered with patterns and measurement notes anyway. It’s a practical space. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, so we just take a break and sit outside until it comes back on. That’s just part of being in this part of town. We keep our tools on big wooden boards so we don’t lose them, though the scissors always seem to go missing right when you need them most. It is just the way things go when you are busy working on new clothes.
