Pal General Store

It's been a while since we set up Shop Number 1 here on Tallkatora Road. You know, right near Hind Cinema in Lucknow. It's a busy spot at Bulaki Adda Chauraha. Most mornings, I'm here early, getting the shutters up. Sometimes the dust from the road gets everywhere, so the first thing is always the cleaning. We have the usual stuff people need daily. Sugar, tea, some snacks, and soaps. It’s not a huge place but we try to keep things organized on the wooden shelves. The Rajendra Nagar crowd is mostly regulars who live nearby. They stop by on their way home. Some come in just to ask for change or directions. I don’t mind. We have been in this spot for years. The ceiling fan makes a bit of noise in the summer, but it keeps the air moving. If you walk past the cinema, you can’t miss us. Usually, there are a few cycles parked out front. It gets crowded in the evenings when everyone is out for their evening walk or buying groceries for dinner. We keep a diary for some regular customers who pay at the end of the month. It's just how things work here. Nothing fancy, just a plain general store where you can find what you need without much fuss. We're just around the corner from the main crossing, serving the neighborhood as best as we can manage each day. We hope to stay here for many more years.
