We are a family-run place called Agarwal And Sons. You can find us at No. 76/20 on the ground floor of Guruduwara Road. Being on the ground floor makes it easy for people to just walk in off the street. We’ve been at this location for many years, and the shop has a lot of history to it. It’s not a very big space, but we’ve managed to fit everything we need into the shelves and cabinets. The floor is made of old stone that has worn down in the spots where people stand the most. We mostly deal with regular customers who live in the neighborhood and have been coming to us since they were kids. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded inside, especially in the mornings when everyone is out doing their errands. We don't have any big fancy displays, just the things people need on a daily basis. My sons and I take turns behind the counter. We talk to the customers about their families and what’s happening on Guruduwara Road. It’s a simple life and a simple business. We close up for a few hours in the afternoon when it gets too hot, then open back up until late evening. The sign outside is a little faded from the sun, but everyone knows who we are. We just try to be honest and do our work properly every day.
