Menders Men

Hazratganj is always moving fast. Being located at Shree Hari Tower on Meera Bai Marg means there is never a quiet moment outside. I work at Menders Men, and most of my time is spent looking out towards the Agice office across the street. It is a good spot in Lucknow, though finding parking around here is a nightmare for everyone. The shop itself is pretty straightforward. We have the heavy chairs and the big mirrors that have been there since we opened. Sometimes the lift in the building acts up, so people just take the stairs. I like the morning time best when the sun hits the glass in the front. I usually start by making sure the floor is swept clean of all the hair from the day before. Hazratganj has all these big brands now, but our little corner in the tower stays the same. People come in, sit down, and we get to work. We don't have a big fancy website or anything like that. Just the name on the door and the address here in 226001. It gets hot in the afternoons, so the air conditioner stays on pretty much all day. You hear the horns honking from the main road even when the door is shut tight. It is just the way things are in this part of Lucknow. We keep the magazines on the table for people waiting, even if they mostly just look at their phones now.
