Manish Store

Manish Store is right on Lucknow Road, so we get a lot of traffic passing by. Being near the Maruti Agency and the Indian Oil Petrol Pump makes us easy to find, which is good because Sahadat Ganj can get pretty busy. I usually spend my morning watching the tankers come in at the petrol pump while I open up the shop. The noise of the road is something you just get used to after a while. We sell a bit of everything, so the place is usually packed to the ceiling with stuff. It’s a bit of a maze inside. I know where every single item is, even if it looks messy to someone else. We don't have a big team or fancy computers to track things. I mostly use a notebook and my memory. The fans keep the air moving, but it still gets warm when the sun hits the front of the store. People stop in while their cars are getting gas or when they are just passing through. It’s a lot of short conversations and quick exchanges. I like the pace of it. There’s never a dull moment when you’re on a main road like this. We just keep the shelves stocked and the floor swept as best as we can. It’s a simple shop for a busy area, and we have been here for long enough that it feels like home. I wouldn't know what to do with myself in a quiet office.
