We are operating out of a space in Husainabad, specifically at Mohd Saleem’s place. It’s a local setup, so don’t expect a big glass building or a shiny lobby when you come looking for us. We are right in the heart of the neighborhood, which means there’s always the sound of kids playing or scooters going by outside the window. The office is really just a couple of rooms where we keep our records and handle the pharmaceutical side of things. It’s a bit tight when we have a lot of stock, but we make it work by stacking things neatly against the walls. We have a few wooden desks and some old metal chairs that have been with us for years. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re usually too busy to worry about that. Most days involve a lot of phone calls and writing things down in ledgers. We don’t use much fancy software; we prefer the old-fashioned way of keeping track of things. It’s just a few of us here, and we’ve known each other a long time, so the atmosphere is pretty relaxed. When the weather gets really hot, we just open the windows and hope for a breeze. It’s a simple way to run a business, but it suits Husainabad and it suits us. We’re just regular people doing our jobs in a part of town we know well.
