Lalit General Store

Lalit General Store is my place in Lucknow. It’s located at Munsi Pulia on Masjid Road. We are very close to the Jama Masjid in Indira Nagar. It is a very active neighborhood. I see people going to the mosque throughout the day, and many of them stop in to grab a few things. I carry a bit of everything, from notebooks and pens to cooking oil and snacks. The shop is on the ground floor, and I usually sit near the front to catch any breeze. Lucknow summers can be very hot, so the fan is always running. I’ve been in this spot for several years. I know the families around here quite well. Some of the kids who used to buy candy from me are now grown up and buying groceries for their own homes. It makes me feel a bit old, but it’s nice. I don't have a website or any fancy advertisements. I just rely on people knowing I'm here. The Masjid Road can get quite narrow when cars are parked, but it’s part of the charm of Indira Nagar. I spend my afternoons restocking the shelves or chatting with the neighbors. It’s a simple way to make a living, and I’m content with how things are. The shop isn't perfect, but it's mine.
