Kuwar General Store

Kuwar General Store is located in Lucknow, specifically in the Udaiganj area on Cantt Road. We are situated on the first floor of our building, which is quite close to the Hanuman Mandir. Having the temple nearby means there is always a lot of activity and people walking around, especially on certain days of the week. Our shop handles a lot of different general items that local families need for their homes. Since we are on the first floor, we have to carry everything up the stairs, which is quite a workout every time a new shipment arrives. The shop itself is not very big, so we have to be clever about how we stack the bags of grain and the crates of bottles. It is a bit of a squeeze sometimes. We have many regular customers from the Udaiganj neighborhood who have been coming to us for years. They like that they can just stop by after visiting the mandir. We keep the place clean, but it is a working store, so there is always a bit of clutter from unpacking boxes. We don't really bother with fancy displays or anything like that. We just focus on making sure the shelves aren't empty when someone comes looking for something specific. It is a steady life here in Lucknow, and we enjoy being part of the local daily routine for the folks who live in this neighborhood. We stay open pretty late most days.
