Kumar General Store

You can find Kumar General Store in the Manik Moti Complex on the Main Road of Murli Nagar in Lucknow. We are quite close to the Hanuman Mandir, so we often hear the prayers and the crowds from there. Our shop is a straightforward place for daily necessities. We have things like pulses, sugar, matches, and general household goods piled up on the shelves. The Manik Moti Complex is a bit of an older building and our shop is tucked in there along with some other small businesses. We open early in the morning and stay until late at night. There isn't much space to move around once the bags of flour and rice are delivered. We usually have to stack them near the entrance. The fan overhead makes a bit of a clicking noise but it keeps the air moving. Lucknow people are friendly and we spend a lot of time just chatting with the customers about the weather or the local news. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us working through the day. We don't promise anything special, we just sell what people ask for at the usual prices. Sometimes we have to deal with power cuts, so we keep a few candles and a torch handy behind the counter. It is just a regular life running a shop in Murli Nagar. We do what we can to keep the shelves full and the shop running.
