Our office is situated in Kesar Bagh, right near the bus stand. Being so close to the bus stand means there is always a lot of movement and noise around us. We deal with security, which mostly means we organize people to watch over buildings and gates. It is a serious kind of job because you have to be alert even when it’s late at night and everything is quiet. We spend a lot of time talking to the men who work for us, making sure they know their posts and what to look out for. The office itself is quite basic. We have a few desks, some chairs, and a lot of logbooks where we keep track of shifts. We don't use any high-tech gadgets or complicated software. It’s mostly about having reliable people who will show up on time and stay awake. Kesar Bagh is a busy area, so we get a lot of walk-ins asking about work or people looking for guards for their shops. We’ve been here long enough that most of the local shopkeepers recognize us. We don't make big promises or use fancy words. We just try to make sure that the places we look after stay safe and that nothing goes missing. It’s steady work that requires a lot of patience. Sometimes we sit outside the office just to watch the buses go by while we wait for the next shift change.
